This section of the river was completely redesigned in 2002 to accommodate whitewater kayaking. Specifically playboating. Before then it was used by local slalom boaters as a training site. It has become more polupar since the it hosted the 2004 Canadian Slalom Championships and several other slalom competitions since then.
What more can you ask for. Easy access, good features, safe swims and nont far from the areas facilities: Pubs, groceries, camping, stores and within an hour or 2 of the regions other great paddle locations.
The water level does not change significantly throught the year so the features are very consistent.
