Future competitors are already practicing their lines and calculating their landings on the Alseseca in preparation for the race in January. The river is in Veracruz, Mexico, near the town of Tlapacoyan. Between it and the Filo-Bobos there are multiple spectacular sections nearby for boaters at every level.
The Tablazo section (aka the Roadside Section) consists of about 30 drops over about 3.5 mi. One S-Turn drop is considered class V but it is easily carried. It may rattle your teeth a bit on the way down, but hang in there and you will be smiling by the time hit the bottom.
