The Mattawin River is a splendid and remote white water river North-East of Montreal fed by the Resevoir Taureau. There are several white water sections, for instance, KM 42-37 (L'Arrachi), and the Rapide des Cinq, ending where the Mattawin empties into the Saint Maurice. But the eight mile section between KM 37 and KM 22 has the most consistent rapids.
