Shepperton Weir

Shepperton Weir is located in West London on the River Thames. It is one of the popular high-volume playspots in the South-East, due to the way moves can be performed, and the shape of the feature which often resembles a bowl.

Access
Shepperton Weir is located near to Ferry Lane, see the Google map below for directions. Parking is available near to the lock, or at the car park further along Ferry Lane.

Water levels
High water levels are needed on the Thames, Hurley needs to be on 4+ gates, and into the stantions.

Gates
Up to 10 gates can be opened, with two pour-overs at either side of the weir running.
- 1-3 gates open - Not usable.
- 4 gates open - long boats only.
- 5-6 gates open - depends on pool levels but might work.
- 7-9 gates open - optimal conditions. Produces a bowl-like wave.
- 10 gates open - can be good, but stops bowling and produces a large stopper.
