River Levels
Go to the road bridge at Halkirk and check the level on the gauge. If it measures 24 inches and upwards this part of the river has some friendly play waves and stoppers.
[edit]
Get in/outs
- If it is 30 inches or higher go in at the railway bridge further upstream. You can then run down to the get out at Brawl Castle (in the trees) and is good fun.
- If you want rapids to run head much further upstream (by car) to Dirlot Gorge. There is also a single rapid worth a quick look at Westerdale bridge.
