WELCOME TO THE NEW SITE - I have just started to upload the old lame out of date main website to this Wiki so stay tuned. This site will initially grow from the content I move over from the old website, but the future of the UWC website is up to YOU. Anyone can edit and update this website. We are counting on UWC members and friends to keep this site updated. If you don't know what a Wiki is, check out this Information about a Wiki. Utah Whitewater Club - We are a group of enthusiastic paddlers dedicated to promoting the sport of canoeing, kayaking, and rafting. Formed in Salt Lake City in 1991 by a small but persistent group of local paddlers, the UWC now has membership into the hundreds. Activities and interests of the club include instruction, safety, organized trips, river issue advocacy, and having fun.

Meetings

Monthly Meetings are on the Third Thursday of the Month at 7:00 pm. The meetings are usually at REI on 3300 S, but are sometimes moved due to conflicts. Please check the UWC Message Board for updates.

Message Board

A Message Board for all things related to the UWC, or just kayaking in general around the Wasatch Front, or with Wasatch Front boaters is hosted on Eddyflower. Please use the message board for all up to the minute information including upcoming trips, trip logistics, river beta, or anything relating to, or of interest to Utah boaters

If you can't visit the Message Boardbut you want to keep up with news and announcements via email you can sign up for UWC info from the Email Listserver. River and Flow Information

Colorado Basin River Forecast Center - The Colorado Basin River Forecast Center strives to serve as a clearing house for all hydrologic data within their area of responsibility. This include the entire Green and Colorado drainages as well as portions of the Eastern Great Basin. Stream flow observations are monitored and quality controlled as necessary. Additionally, a sophisticated model is run to provided 10-day deterministic forecast for many gages. You can know the flow before you head to the river.
